Petzl GriGri + Plus climbing belay device with assisted braking Hot

Petzl GriGri Plus sport climbing belayer with assisted braking system is the new tool for the safety of the first climber. It is suitable for all single ropes on the market, as you can use ropes with diameters from 8.5 mm up to 11 mm. The range in which use is optimized has also increased, being usable strings between 8.9 and 10.5 mm.

Petzl has included the anti-panic system which increases absolute safety during climbing. The anti-panic developed by Petzl consists of an automatic block that comes into play when you, the belayer, pull the lowering lever too forcefully, or without wanting to, thus risking your companion’s fall continuing. Unlike previous anti-panic systems, Petzl has devised a system for the GriGri + that allows you to avoid the annoying problem that is felt when descending. Every time the anti-panic triggers, you have to start all over again, creating a significant increase in descent times for the expert belayer. Thanks to a change in the position of the left hand you can operate the lever without the anti-panic coming into operation, continuing the descent to the ground in peace.

Another innovation of the GriGri Plus is the selector that allows the transition from the first belay mode to the second belay mode, with the top rope (rope). Both modes still work for any type of belay (to avoid setting errors) but with the reel mode belaying the second is much more comfortable and natural.

At Petzl they have thought of everything: the part most subject to wear, the area over which the braking side rope runs, has been reinforced with a stainless steel plate to extend its life. The possibility of the rope getting stuck under the lever when the belayer locks in, not uncommon with the GriGri 2, has also been removed with the addition of a lock that prevents the passage of the taut rope. GriGri Plus + is the new frontier for fun at the crag.
